5 Ways to Help Prevent Osteoarthritis*
- Treat injured joints nicely. Don't "play through the pain,"
follow the RICE presciption: rest, ice compress and elevate the injury
- Maintain a healthy weight.
- Move, move, move. Boosts flood flow to cartilage.
Try gentle aerobic exercise.
- Skip the stilettos.Wearing high heels raises the risk of developing osteoarthritis.
- Consider taking glucosamine and chondroitin.
